{"id":1179,"date":"2010-12-23T19:40:58","date_gmt":"2010-12-24T02:40:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rickyopaterny.com\/blog\/?p=1179"},"modified":"2010-12-23T19:42:54","modified_gmt":"2010-12-24T02:42:54","slug":"using-hdr-efex-pro-for-the-first-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gen-o.com\/blog\/2010\/12\/23\/using-hdr-efex-pro-for-the-first-time\/","title":{"rendered":"Using HDR Efex Pro for the first time"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I use Nik&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B001L14QR0?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=thelitteinlit-20&#038;linkCode=xm2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creativeASIN=B001L14QR0\">Color Efex Pro<\/a> and Silver Efex Pro quite a bit for post processing my photos, so I felt compelled to try out their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B003YUN49C?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=thelitteinlit-20&#038;linkCode=xm2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creativeASIN=B003YUN49C\">new HDR software.<\/a> Unfortunately, I don&#8217;t have exposure-bracketed shots that I took with the intention of making an HDR image. So, I took a couple photos I had from a hike to Mount Misery last month and put them into HDR Efex to see what it could make of them. The conditions under which I shot these photos were not ideal\u2014I handheld them and took my rangefinder camera away from my eye to adjust the shutter speed in between shots\u2014but the result from only two shots is not disappointing.
